Want a simple guide to the best burger in Dubai? Come and I'll cruise you around my top 5. In order to experience some good burgers, you must get in a full tank car, blast some good music and have a partner you think is the perfect partner in crime. Obviously after today, you want to feel guilty with a beloved one, so let's gain those kilos!
I strongly believe that any outing or any ride should be enjoyed with some good music. You will need a good mood to have the time of your life. You can always see me in the car; well I don’t drive, so I would be next to my friend who drives singing and dancing. Okay, ready to chop down some burgers?
WARNING! THE PRECEDING WRITING CONTAINS SCENES OF EXTREME JUICY GOODNESS WHICH MIGHT LEAD TO WATERY MOUTHS, STOMACH GRUMBLES AND SUDDEN CRAVINGS.
My top 5-burger joints that I have tried in Dubai are:
1. Elevation Burger
2. Shake Shack
3. Johnny Rockets
4. Gourmet Burger
5. Mc Donald
I was so excited that Elevation Burger opened a branch in Dubai, so I can finally taste it. I have tried their classic burger, Elevation Burger, which was a double patty with cheese and your own choice of veggies! Since this burger is cooked in olive oil, you won’t really have those guilty post burger symptoms. I have this as number 1 because it’s the only burger in Dubai I could never finish; it would leave me satisfied with just a couple of bites! Well, maybe because they make the best milkshakes too. The price would be their only negative point. It’s around 36 AED for just a burger, excluding drinks and fries.
Runner up, SHAKE SHACK! I don’t know why every time I say shake shack I feel like shaking. Shake Shack single burger (single because there is one patty) literally melts in your mouth. Its heaven on earth! Each bite … hmmmmm. Just remembering the softness of the bread and tenderness of the patty makes me crave it. What’s wicked about these tiny beasts is that they leave a memorable bite in your mouth and mind. One thing that brings these devils down is that they are a bit soggy from the oil and cheese and can be messy.
Johnny Rockets has been an all-time classic. To experience a classical American 60’s burger and the American Ruby’s of the UAE, go to this diner! The best thing about their burgers is that they take you back to retro days; sitting in those long 1985 Chevrolet Impolo’s and listening to At Last by Etta James. How those words of Ms James fit perfectly after one bite of that burger, this scene can be the perfect advertisement scene for Johnny Rockets. Even though their burgers are ranked number 3 in my top 5, I don't find variety in their burgers.
Have you ever thought of mini burgers? Well, thanks to our number 4-ranked burger place, Gourmet Burger. It delivers those mini delights to you. Those tiny burgers make it easier for me, a woman, to eat in public, (believe me eating a burger in public is one of our girl problems.) Having them in such a small and convenient size, makes me enjoy them without having to worry about getting some sauce all over my face or clothes. If only they have better service, then I would have ranked them third. But sadly, I’ve been there many times and their service is still slow and needs improvement.
Last but not least, you better be lovin’ it! Mc Donald has been here since I can remember. Yes, many say negative and unhealthy things about Mc Donald, but I still like it and enjoy consuming every single sin created by it. My usual order is cheeseburgers but honestly I couldn’t care less what I order, because I am always satisfied with their food. Since they have some special burgers almost every month, this month, I recommend the Asian Burger. It’s a good burn spicy burger that server the triple S's, sweet, sour and spicy sauce cooked within a good chicken patty. I went head over heels after my first bite and happy that they brought it back, even though I am not a big fan of spicy food. Also the conveniences of having a drive thru, helps keep this journey on the roll without being disconnected.
Have had this Top 5 doesn’t mean I will stop my search for the best burgers, I still haven’t tried 2 new places in Dubai, Hollywood Burger in Downtown Boulevard and Burger Rebel in Wafi Center. I also have my wish list to have these burger joints open soon in Dubai, London’s Burger & Lobster, the US’s White Castle and In-N-Out Burger and to have a Bahraini favorite, Jasmi’s Burger.
All this writing is making my stomach yearn for a burger right now! I heard there are some smoky sizzling Camel Burgers in The Switch, Dubai Mall, which I must try. Guilty as charged, I know where my next stop is.
So Feed Me, The Best Burgers in Dubai!

Hahahahahahahaha!! We absolutely LOVE the way you write, you are extremely talented (mashallah)! We love the recommendation and totally agree with some. We think the next stop we're going to have is definitely written in your recommendation. We would like to recommend a couple of burger places too, you should try Rhodes Twenty (perhaps one of the best burger places), Johns the grocer is a must try (definitely won't feel a dot of guilt once consumed ahahaha) and baker & spice! You should try them out and let us know what you think!
